Jakarta Leads Medal Count at POMNas XIX

Jakarta athletes competing in the National Student Sports Week XIX (POMNas) in Central Java from September 19 to 27, 2025, have so far been able to lead the medal tally.

I ask them to stay focused and continue to demonstrate their abilities to the fullest

The student contingents from Jakarta have currently won a total of 36 medals, consisting of 18 gold, 10 silver, and 8 bronze.

Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) Head, Andri Yansyah appreciates the entire team that continues to fight and stay consistent in every match until they currently achieve first place.

Jakarta Contingent Aims for Overall Champion at POMNas XIX

"I congratulate the athletes who have already won their medals. Meanwhile, for those still competing, I ask them to stay focused and continue to demonstrate their abilities to the fullest," he expressed, Monday (9/22).

He said that the medal tally, especially the gold medals for the Jakarta contingent at POMNas XIX, is still very open and is hoped to be maximized.

Out of the 19 final events to be participated in by student athletes from six sports such as Athletics, Badminton, Climbing, Swimming, Wushu, and Tarung Derajat, they are still on track to win as many gold medals as possible.

"Hopefully, tomorrow and onwards until the end, we will continue to win gold medals. So, we can maintain our first position and the title of overall champion at this event," he stated.
